Touching Into the Hidden

While all the moments pass

As every moment passes in a steady stream,
there’s always something that endures
like starlight,
or the moon,
unwavering through wind-blown cloud,
and its conscious silence
is the hidden language
of our human heart.

And a hug that lingered as though
we could hold on to something
in this life,
hold on to the fleeting beauty of the moment,
hold on
to the light in our eyes
and in our heart
is like a whisper in the wind
as all the moments pass.

While seagulls cry
in the early morning light,
the beauty in every moment
happens only now
while now happens,
though something silent
that words can never say
is always there inside us
when we touch into
the boundless space
of the hidden.
