Like a swirl appearing
in a boundless river
touching all the stars,
our human life appears just briefly
in the world,
while all experience
fades to memories
like rain dissolving into mist
that lingers on an endless ocean.
Our heart is woven through
eternal conscious space,
helping us find meaning
while we’re here,
as awareness larger
than our separate self
reveals something of itself,
reaching out across the Universe
to all eternity.
And in all the sadness
and the beauty
of a human life,
there’s a knowing
deep within the silence
like the breath
of something universal,
a song that never ends,
guiding the Universe
and shaping all life
as moments pass
and are gone forever.
And as another day begins,
this knowing hidden in the silence
reminds us the whole Universe
knows every human being
within itself
at every moment,
and it’s always here
to offer guidance
in the endless sky of our heart.
